We want to help make your first visit a great one, so we have provided answers to some of the questions that you might have.
What are your Sunday gatherings like?
Our worship time usually lasts about 90 minutes. We begin by singing songs that focus on God, Jesus, and our faith. Sometimes we sing a cappella (without musical instrumentation) and at other times we enjoy singing with musical accompaniment.
We will pray for our world, those whom we know and love, and other needs and requests.
Each Sunday, we take time to remember the powerful embodiment of God’s love in Jesus’ death on the cross. We do this through Communion (Lord’s Supper, Eucharist). You are free to join in eating of the bread, which represents the body of Christ, and the fruit of the vine (grape juice), which represents the blood of Christ shed for the forgiveness of our sins.
Communion is usually followed by a collection of the offering from members. You are not obligated to give.
Every Sunday, we receive a message that teaches spiritual truths about God that can be applied to our lives.
What about my kids?
We have a great group of dedicated and creative Bible teachers for kids. There are Bible classes for those from kindergarten to elementary age during the sermon (message) time.
And most Sundays, just before the message there is a Kids Time that is enjoyed by all present.
What should I wear?
We dress pretty casually around here, but bow ties have been spotted on occasion. The people that call our church home range from farmers to nurses to students, and everything in-between. That means every style in-between too!
Where do I find you?
The church building is located at 300 2nd Avenue East in Gravelbourg.
